FINS braid

I was just wondering about what people think of the FINS range of braid?? Is it worth paying the extra to get this braid? And what is so good about it? For $70 odd dollars per 150 yards or what ever it is some people would want it to be gold or at least silver plated. What are you theories on this braid? Have you used it before and is it better then the cheaper option of fireline?

From what I've heard it s'pose to be fairly wear resistant against snags. DON'T QUOTE ME ON THAT. I think it was starlo who mentioned it in the Mordern Fishing mag........

But IMO, i would stick to fireline

The blokes of IFISH use it religously by the looks though, I have also heard that it is more wear and tear resistant to because it is a higher strand braid. But is that all that it is?

I guess its dependent on the environment you fish in. I don't fish in thick snaggy environment and hence don't feel the need for braid. I s'pose braid is more "supple" than fireline, which has a sort of waxy characteristics to it

I rate the stuff highly. Its good gear. I use it on larger spin reels than breaming (4000 +) and on baitcasters. For breaming i prefer squidgee braid.
I've tried most brands of braid and the those two are my pick. I still happily use other types, there is nothing wrong with most of them (in the right application), but they will all be replaced by FINS and S.B. eventually.

Ok say what you are saying the FINS braid is not as good as say on a sahara etc compared to say a stella bause of the way it will sit on the spool and come of it?? Sorry if this is a stupid remark.
