SX40 and Strike Pro - where to buy in Melbourne?
About time I find out what all the fuss is about.
Where can I get the SX40 and Strike Pros in Melbourne? I think I remember seeing the Strike Pros at CA in the city, and also I vaguely remember that Boronia Marine sold some Ecogear stuff. Can anyone give a definite answer on where to get these before I start calling around? Otherwise, what can I still get from Breammaster?

Mate, you will find both in the CA city store...
If there is no SX-40's left, order some off Rudy (store manager aka. BreamMisfit) and he should have some in for you soon. |

yeah mate ca is the place to be for both lures, if u dont know u may be a bit shocked with the price of the ecos, it could be a while before u get a look in with the sxs,as rudys order will be coming in soon and i say if u miss out u will have to wait atleast 1 month, and nunless u move quickly u will probably miss out on the better colours in the strike pro range aswell, hth.

Breammaster has basically all the tackle you need to go breaming but some people like to go to shops and have a chat and pick things up to get a feel of what they are buying.
If you are in the west, Noel Clarkes Tackle Bar in Keilor Rd is a good store. They have heaps of bream gear in there, and the prices are good as well. Dave (the other Bream Addict) works in there on Friday nights and Saturdays and is always a good help. Aussie angler has a great range as well, and Greg (fishman) is in there on Saturdays. Speak to either of them and let them know who your are, and that you get on Breammaster and l am sure you will get a good deal. There are heaps of tackle places around the burbs, so it might help to get on to yellowpages and make a few calls. You might be suprised how close a tackle dealer is and they might be holding the gear you need, if they don't, ask them to get it in for you. It's a good way of getting to know them and generally once you build up a bit of repore with them, the prices get a bit better, and you find out possible hot spots and build some friendships. Good Luck Drew

Thanks to everyone for the heads-up. I'm specifically looking for these HBs because from the way everyone's been on about the SX-40, you'd think the bream were practically jumping onto the lure. Looks like I'll have to drop in to CA.
Off-topic - Bream Addict, I remember reading an old thread from last year and I think you posted your email address, which looked like a MHS student address. Was that you? I'm a former student, but from many moons ago. How long now...a good eleven years ago.
