Stinger Hooks

Could anyone out there tell me what the best way is to tie on a stinger hook for use with the 6" sandworms. I got a few nibbles last weekend but kept pulling in 3" worms after.

Maybe I should just bite the bullet and either cut them in half or try harder to buy the 2" worms.
