HomeMade Stuff.....
Heres some lures and things i been dabbling with as of late.
Made the wooden HBs using my dads electric sander thing (He calls it a electric portafile???) Any ways i been flogging the crap out of it and killed it  The two at the top is a idea of how i started making them and that when it died, while making the one with the bib.

Thanks guys its just something i like to do when im not fishing.
Everytime i make a lure they get better and better and i evaluate what im doing wrong each time to make the next ether sit right or to get a better paint finnish ect. Vary good way to fill in time while not fishing.

hehe what you mean "Looks" proffesionally done! haha
I pretty much done what you do with a tazzy devil only i added split rings and the wire doesnt move in and out.

I used some small tins of enamel paint.
I have made some more stuff and ill post them up soon. I whent out and baught a $50 rotary set and it works like a charm on the wood and it is great for detailed jobs on the lures. I wanna find some clear paint to just seel the other coats with, does any one have any ideas?

Nothing wrong with clear nail varnish in my mind. Nice thin layers, tough and resilient, waterproof, and very cheap. I've been making some tiny little poppers and it's what I've been using to finish them, haven't had a problem with water or anything.

u could try a craft shop david, they have a load of stuff that can be applied to all sorts of fishing, believe it or not

nail varnish? Seriously?? Where do you live? I'm thinking I don't have much trouble since I'm up in Townsville at the moment and things dry pretty quickly up here. Try just adding a thin layer at a time, no need to go the whole hog straight away.
Otherwise, there's always the hairdryer, just don't put it too close or it'll melt the stuff and it'll NEVER dry. Owen
