nah I have had more consistancy with the pink and sliver super bream (even my mate) that than my PX or my SX's... lol I'm putting it down to technique, and possibly using a crappy lure with technique is exceeding ecogears recomendations of using no technique to catch fish on the lures performance alone...

Not that I care but just going off the response that people have given just on this forum those results don't seem accurate? go back and see how many people ranked our lures up there compared to some of the brands that did end up on the list??? can't work that one out????

I think this forums survey is pretty small in the overall scheme of things Mark, most would be on Eastern States based forums, at a rough guess Zipbaits would be in the Top 3 on this forum maybe,

Sorry the lures mentioned are just the top performers and not the top 10???? so I await with baited breath for the top 10??? although even if your going off top performers still doesn't seem correct just going off results on this forum?
What I would like to know is exactly how the numbers were collated? was it just counting peoples top 1 in their response or were all top 10 results statistically collated??? Mark |

Also if the writer could please let us know exactly how the numbers were crunched to come to this conclusion I'd be interested? Mark |

if you count the number of responses in this thread there are about 45 people that list their top 10, thats about 20 - 25% of the total number of anglers surveyed so its not really surprising that some of the lures listed on here dont get a mention.

We'll see if I care when the writer directs me to where all this info was gathered and how the numbers were crunched, I told the writer via PM when he originally started this that it wouldn't be accurate and some companies lures that actually do sell well would not be included also getting responses from unknown members on forums who may have various user names to which to vote with was never going to be accurate, I did suggest to make it fair to all companies that we basically told the writer what their No1 selling lure is for the article but this was rejected.
It isn't and never was going to be an accurate representation of what Aust top 10 Bream lures are. Mark |

It isn't and never was going to be an accurate representation of what Aust top 10 Bream lures are. Mark[/QUOTE] is it possible to get the gross number of the different lures sold in australia or the individual states. as this would be an indication of what people are buying...... |

Could be but would take a while to figure out I guess, I do know what models sell the most though. I don't want to seem like I'm being a sore looser and a good chance that ZipBaits will end up in that top 10 list but the article I hope will say exactly how this info was gathered and for this reason the info may not be 100% accurate. Damn should have signed myself up as 10-20 different user names various forums and voted myself No1 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Mark |

They might be great lures Mark but a large percentage of respondents could have a price driven attitude when it comes to buying H/Bs.
BMW make great cars but most can only afford a commodore. cheers nereus

If your going to do an article like this than all respondents should have put their vote in with their real names??? Take it for gospel truth if you like but this was open to people voting again and again Mark |

the list thats above is compiled on how many lures models in a particular brand rank the best, berkley and ecogear as an example have many more popular models than what Damiki and Zipbaits do so thats why they appear on the list and the other ones dont. the list above is not about what lure is the most popular, its a representation of which companies make the most models of lures which are liked by those surveyed.
you will have to wait until the individual model list comes out to see what exact lures make it into the top ten. |
