I just spent a week in Noosa and fished the flat all around the area and the only lure that seemed to produce for me was the cranka crank in pink Bits.
I have most colours in the cranks range and tried them all, i found a slow roll work best making sure that it kicked up the sand from the bottom. Can't recommend this colour enough.
Here's a couple of pics, noithing big but it got results.

Nice work Dale, something about that lil pinkish/white lure sends the fish crazy lol

My personal favourites are pink bitts (bet ya's didnt know that! ), camo, bbq prawn....black flame....well all of them actually. As todd found out that day we fished together, as you bump the lure into the bottom structure it seems to stir up the mud/sand and the fish really do zero in on the commotion and snaffle them up.
If your after a whiting specific retrieve (if there is one? ) A really slow roll with short sharp jerks of the rod so the lure is jerking across a sand flat, kicking up lots of sand is a sure fire way of getting into some of these sandflat ghosts

I can't wait to get my grubby lil hands on the new range that are due shortly

Hey all

Heres a copy of a previous post I made some time ago re CRANKA Crank colors choices based on my testing in TAS and VIC to date. Thought this info might just help some of you make a wise color choice.

Copied from previous post" Very hard for me to pick a favorite as i designed them all for different fishing scenarios, eg, some dark colors for dark conditions/dirty water situations, some clearer colors for crystal clear water conditions, some brighter different colors for hard hit waters where the fish have seen everything and when nothing seems to be working as i find unique colors come into their own in these situations, some naturals to match common baitfish, some prawny colors to match the hatch etc etc

If I was pushed to pick my favorites for each scenario they would be as follows:
Low light/ Dark / Dirty Water = Beer Bottle, Black Flame, Flash Prawn and Bling Prawn

Crystal Clear Water = Ghost Shrimp, Pink Bitts, Ghost AYU, Wicked Prawn and BBQ Prawn

Hard Hit waters / tough Conditions when all else fails = Wicked Prawn, Larva Prawn, Toffee Apple, Tiger Prawn

Clear Water Natural Baitfish Reps = Glass AYU, Ice Minnow, Camo Prawn, Ghost Blue Gill

Consistent all rounders = Flash Prawn, Ghost BlueGill, Olive Prawn, Smoked Prawn, Glass AYU, Ghost AYU and Wicked Prawn

Good Prawn Reps = Salmon Gutts, Smoked Prawn, Bling Prawn, Pink Bitts, BBQ Prawn Ghost Shrinp and Wicked Prawn

Sorry, just could not bring myself to pick just one favorite (guess this is why we ended up with 20 colors)"

PLEASE NOTE: CRANKA Pro staff that target more Yellowfin than i do would probably suggest different favorite colors to mine. From prostaff feedback I would suggest that the Pink Bitts, Wicked Prawn, Bling Prawn, Flash Prawn, Ghost Bluegill, Glass AYU, Smoked Prawn and Olive Prawn will all serve the yellowfin angler well.

Hope this helps

Cheers
Steersy

Having had quite a bit of time to play with these lures now I have been able to fish them in quite a few different systems chasing both black & yellowfin bream. Each to there own but these are my go to colours at present.

Black Bream (generally more brackish water): Flash Prawn, Smoked Prawn, Olive Prawn and when things are really tough I have found success using the lava prawn.
Yellowfin Bream (clearer water): Ghost Shrimp, Pink Bitts, Salmon Guts, Ghost Bluegill and Wicked Prawn.

You really cant go wrong with any of the colours in the cranka range as long as you are confident the lure & colour will produce then your chances of catching fish will also increase.
