I think rods like those are awesome, just wish there were more around like them. The custom i built from my girlfriend is very similar, very fast but so light it loads up from the foregrip almost like an egi rod.

Keen to try those rods out, not a fan of the futuristic neo grip but a good rod is a good rod.

Our of curiosity fun fisher how come you chose a 2500 certate over say a 2004 for that rod?

I chose the 2500 because the kind of fishing i do i require the extra spool capacity and i find the 2500 gives me a better casting distance.

i didnt start out being a blinger but ended up being one... but i thoroughly use them all and enjoy using them which is the idea right? why buy something and not use it? just need to take a bit more care thats all...

Most rods bend at the forgrip if they are pushed hard enough or too hard in some cases.But that has nothing to do with the taper rating.

When a rod or blank manufacturer rates a rod or blanks taper (Fast moderate slow etc) in most cases it is determend by the rods action under a light load.Eg if the rod under a light load only bends to the 3rd or 4th guide from the top it would be considered medium to fast, if it bends to the 5th guide or lower it would be classed as medium to slow.

The Tornado is a great rod. I was after a stiffer rod for plastics and for around racks and snags and it's perfect for it. With a 2500 size reels it casts really well. I was a little worried about it being to stiff but it's not.

Perfect all round rod I rekon because it can handle bigger fish but is still great on bream.

Put a RCS knob on the luvias today the T handle feels to strange for me... Thinking of getting a RCS 2004 spool if I can find a cheap one for sale.
