Stradic ci4 1000 on a T Curve 1-3kg 6'6" - About to sell it though.

Pflueger Medalist 6035 on a Pflueger Asaro 3-6kg 7' - Very well balanced combo, but I don't like the length of the rods butt, just a tad too long for my liking, so I'm selling it to purchase something with a shorter butt. The reel though (I own a 6040 as well), nice and smooth, great drag and you cannot kill them no matter how hard you try.

Had to play around with it, its one of my beloved GLX 820s that I've modified to the hilt mainly to give a better feel, but also to tie in with the Emma colour scheme. The other one matched my 2500 Exist. If I was to show you the before shot I what I did to a RRP $700 rod you'd probably faint

Looks good Dylman.

Never was a man of the old Emeraldas ...
But, It does look insanely Schmick.
Such great condition aswell.
Did you purchase it through ebay?
Or just very good at taking care of your gear

As in how good is the casting, drag etc.
Personally I wouldn't go near a pflueger ...
Although people swear by Pfluegers higher end model's ...
Otherwise loving the outfits.

Pflueger can be hit and miss, you just have to know what to go for...

Here is a list of what pflueger reels I have owned and a little snippet about them:

Illusion (baitcast) - Very smooth, excellent drag, easy to birdsnest but was able to cast light lures.

Trion (baitcast) - Very smooth, light but accurate drag, no good on light lures but could throw heavy ones a mile.

Patriarch (baitcast) - My favourite reel bar none, extremely smooth, excellent drag, both centrifugal and magnetic adjustments allow me to throw light lures OK (considering it's a 6-10kg outfit) and larger ones a country mile. - I wholeheartedly reccomend this reel.

Medalist 6035 and 6040 - Tough, durable, smooth, very good drag.. Good choice for salt water.

Illusion 35 - Play in the handle, wasn't very smooth.. I took it back after a few days. I think I was just unlucky, see next section.

Supreme 8030MG - Smooth at first but became rough quite quickly, drag was fine, roller bearing and rotor bearings went to hell within a few months.

Supreme 9030XT - First one was buggered out of the box, very rough on the wind. Second one had a heap of play in the handle but was otherwise smooth. Roller bearing didn't last long.

Torsion 60 - Smooth, seems to have a heap of drag. I haven't had it long but it feels like a beefier medalist, so an initial huge thumbs up from me.

Pflueger reels my mate owns and that I have spent some time using:

President 30 - Smooth as silk, lovely drag, only a sleeve under the roller though so needs care. A little heavy at 258 grams.. If it weighed around the 210g mark I would rate it more highly than my Steez. No, I am not kidding.

Illusion 30 - Nice and smooth, drag seems fine, only a little play in the handle. A solid budget reel. I wouldn't place it far behind a Symetre.

Medalist 40 and 80 - See previous section.

Torsion 70 - See previous section.

President (Baitcast) - Much like the Trion but a stronger drag and seems to allow for a further cast with less effort. I guess it's the extra bearings...

I think that's it...

I'm very keen to try the Patriarch spin.
