Parts have been anodised by a specialised company.
However, I would not do it again. The anodising almost ruined the reel (had to replace several parts which were completely or partially resolved during the anodizing process)

yea before anodising you gotta make sure if it pure magnesium or else the anodisation wont work...some reel and made of different composite material therefore the material will fried due to the current that passes through. Found out by a anodising company.
