Great build great rods but lets not pretend martin has some secret insight. The worlds most popular premium component manufacturer's new reel seat, showing up on new rods isnt a prediction or vindication of martins prophetic talents.

The blindingly obvious in my opinion is Martin's way of commenting upon a new reel seat, guides etc and incorporating into his post several reference's, pictures, links to youtube or whatever he feels like with his line of rods involved.

I feel it shows a lack of respect to the original post to which he is commenting on pushing his brand.

We all know about his rods(brand) however I believe it would be nice if he kept reference's to his brand to his own threads.
By all means comment upon the post but keep the reference's to his own brand threads.

Why chop the guy down for trying to do somthing. I dont know but i get the vibe that all you guys are really unhappy or actually as joely said negative.
I come on this site to chill pick up a bargain and learn somthing not chop poeple down for giving somthing a go or making a comment.Fishing is supposed to be fun not nasty guys.Instead of being constructive and saying how can i help you chopping is an easy thing to do when your not in thier shoes.

martin isnt chilling or picking up bargains he is pushing the same old rehtoric in every post about a particular brand of rods which he is invested in. When it starts to get in the way of reality and logical discussion it gets noticed and eventually pointed out.

Also Majorcraft had it on their limited release of MSX's start of last year... and it's a Fuji component, would hope that Fuji can get it out to all rod manufacturers lol, given it's their business to do so.

Regards Sunydays and the design. I like it. Minimalist and very appealing. To me will reduce the weight and further increase the sensitivity that seems to come from such a build. nice work mate.

Read my post again i did not chop him down it jusy gets painful that their is always multiple references to his brand in posts.
Some off Martin's posts are informative but are like advertising his brand in an overstated way.

And anyway, arent they currently in Japan being put through their paces by Mizuki Noguchi in testing for the 2017 Hakone Ekiden? Then I thought they were off to the USA for a stint up the pointy end of the Devil Mountain Ultra? Hopefully they make it back here in time for thanks giving!

You don't see Steersy on here referencing Cranka on his every post, or The Chief banging on about Ecogear, Pygmy II bringing strike pro and the other lures brands his employer represents into their posts, they start their own threads.

It's common courtesy not a personal attack.

It was a sly riposte to ONE chap who insisted that the seat is meant to be fitted locknut pointing towards the tip. The following replies did light up my otherwise boring evening however.
