Bit of a comparo for the AGS faithful.. Diverse wall and blank thickness.
XXXFast compile x svf 1-4kg tournament nightrider.
Fast svf 1-2kg battler.
Medium hvf 1-2.5kg commander.
All very different rods I love it!

Mate I got lucky and didn't pay the massive rrp $ and only bought it due to the price I got it for to be honest, can't say id fork $900 odd or whatever they are now for it with the battler around.

As ya know it's a very different and unique rod so I'm glad I have it though.
You can kinda tell its daiwa Australia's first go at an ags bream rod.
The guides are bigger than needed in my opinion. But that's good maybe for bigger leaders.
Great for deep water plastics and bigger hardbodies like dunks etc.
Cut above in build quality it can do it all but where's the fun in that?

They are the bomb! Smooth as hell and a bargain compared to the previous model. I got mine for as little as 550 US$ all-in.
Only downside is the bloody skeletal Zaion knob they come with.
Had to change it for a RCS I-shape cork knob straight away.

Hi guys,
Just wanted to say Im super impressed with the new samurai model which I purchased off my local CA last week. The thing is light as a feather and super crisp compared to the 201. Model I bought was the 181 - 70. Christened it with a 39cm breambo and it loaded up amazingly. And grip is So comfortable, im wrapped with it.
