Yeah they are tapered for fc but obviously braid is not a drama.
The luvias and air spools are flouro too IMO and the certates better for braid with a sharper lip and less forward tapered spool👍

My homemade certate limited hahaha😃 wanted a more finesse feel on my 2500, it's my dedicated plastics/deep water reel on my ags nightrider lately.
It's worked a treat feels great and looks the goods finished exactly the same as the rotor.
Very happy! The original T knob made it feel like a snapper reel😉

Ah right thanks. What about the New Gekkabijin 2004, are they FC oriented reels as well? I like the look of that reel, I may match one with a future accented Tarakan.

Yea the gekka looks a similar spool to the ignis, I can't recall it being marketed as flouro reel though.
They all do the job with that rounded spool lip I'd say

Right...I was surprised at seeing "FC specific" designs. Here using straight FC seems to be special enough for punters to display yet straight FC is just as common as braid in their intended markets.

I would have thought most lighter reels would have been made for FC use first.

Just saw this photo online and instantly thought fishing spot bling

It's in vic somewhere

Anyone fished it before? I reckon there would be black bream aplenty around there

Fairly sure it's Princess pier, or what's left of it, in port melbourne. Pretty much doorstep of the CBD.

Pretty heavily fished

Might have to give it a go when I'm down there this year

It looks incredible in that photo. Might need a few spare lures lol lot of rub offs I'd imagine

the depth inside the poles is a fair few meters shallower than the outside. Deepest parts are around 10-13m i think, around that.

Got some nice snapper from there in the past and got roasted plenty of times. Good fun

Groovy a place like that would be great for baitcast finesse. Still of its pressured then getting the bite would supersede surviving the fight.

Are fish spooky as there?

Would still way rather spin for working structure like that catching the bream there is mainly to do with the drop and spin just does it better. Plenty of bream in there during the warmer months aswell as plenty of other fish. Really have to be on a boat or yak to fish it properly.
