Yep it is 1 of a 100 imported into Australia, bought it about 2 or 3 years ago and haven't used it.

Funny, it can be setups you own as a kid that's the most memorable too.

New reel yeeew!
TD sol II 2508 spooled with 10lb toray. Going to match this up with a 4-8lb majorcraft volkey (Havnt bought yet) and maybe even use it as a micro jigging reel as well.

BeeCF brought them in exclusively to Australia, but you could get your hands on them online. From memory a compact 3000 with corrosion resistant bearings all round, new paint job and an extra bearing or 2. CI4 material, not +, but looks very similar to the latest. Also not sure if the ones brought into oz by the importer had the dual handle, but the os one did have a dual handle option too.

Black and Gold seems to be the theme this year.

Also, more and more circumstantial evidence seems to be pointing to a new Exist in the new year. If anyone has any word on it, spill your beans. If heard from quite a few sources that current model stock is being drawn down, no production of the current model is planned and given that reels such as the Morethan and Saltiga expedition are packing more tech than the exist I just can't imaging that there isn't something about to hit the market.

I know I've held off replacing my exists (pre 2012) with the 2012 exist just on gut feel.

Thoughts?
I take it you own more than one...... morethan. Possibly many. I'd just wait for a new exist branzino. Run a fleet of those and cross your fingers for a 2000 version. No point buying an exist that isnt painted black like your certates... sorry, morethans.
