I'm guessing a little over 130,

Not really confident yet to blast it especially in the waterways I fish, time will tell

I have been doing a lot of fishing but once again only saratoga

Also a bit of new fly gear
Ripper boat mate! Looks very tidy!

But i would check those figures. A Champion is not a light hull and if it's already doing ~73mph @ 4900rpm.

Something doesn't quite line up, so your tacho may be out a bit?

Check this out - http://www.go-fast.com/Prop_Slip_Calculator.htm

Enter these values assuming they are correct!

1.85 gear ratio
26 pitch prop?
4900 rpm

Hit the calculate button under Theoretical speed, put in your Actual speed and then hit the calculate button under slip again. It should not be in negatives.

Cheers,
Paul

Thanks mate

It's only 18ft and really a 200ho is a 225

My tacho could be out but that's what it reads it Still had plenty to go and my hds7 doesn't lie about speed, can't promise revs however if it was higher than 4900 then there shouldn't be more room to throttle which there was ???

And spot on its a 26inch prop

I'm new to these boats and I speak what I see . My pug was in the mrs arms when we were driving ... Ohh that face told a thousand words

I thought the motor looked big for the size of the boat. I'm guessing she would be a handful to drive at full speed. You in fresh or salt?

Hey chief,
Fresh mate and as I said before I need to grow a bigger set to get it to full speed not to game yet, but it's pretty easy to drive, I to thought it would be a handful but it's easy

My new Exsence DC.

It's all true. This reel is capable of a no spool thumbing experience while casting 70m and use of #1.0 PE. And seriously that electronic whine after every cast is addictive.

I've loaded it with JDM 'Super' Fireline. It doesn't have that hard coating like the old Fireline, but has a feeling of Fireline Exceed. And it's actually quite flat. Would like to see how it goes but probs won't buy it again.

I've set it up with a recent MC Skyroad 8'4" Baitcasting Seabass rod. Quite a Japanese market orientated combo. I'll be using it for shore casting lures around 14-25g in estuary and breakwater environments. But it's quite versatile and I reckon it will do everything I ask it to do. Can't wait to blood it these school holidays.

And why would I lie to ya!

I've aimed it across the Ross River a few times and spanned it with a cast...ant that was back in the day when my longest rod was 7'. I wish they came out in a 150 or 200 size spool
