But out of curiosity, what use do you have for the LBD? Like its a very cool function but what application would it suit in Aus? Rock fishing?

Still very jealous none the less
Thanks mate. I think I ll use it for rock fishing and fishing around structures like harbor and pontoons. It gives more control when fighting a fish just, like thumbing my baitcasters, but the thumb becomes the index finger.

Yup that handle comes from the Branzino Ultimate Custom Part, like this.

I have that spool on my Steez 2508 for heavier line.

I havent fished it yet as I only got it about a month ago. I was really lucky as I bought it off a guy who thought that it was better to invest in an expensive rod, rather than learn to cast properly. He blamed the rod and sold it to me cheap.
I've given it a few grass/pontoon sessions since i got it and can say that it's a really beautiful rod to cast. Really fun at short to medium distances. Great roll casts as well. With long distances I have to put a bit of thought into the cast, mainly as untill recently most of the rods I've cast or used have been quite stiff and fast. As this is a midcurve with a medium fast action, you really need to put a little extra travel in the transition stage of your cast. But having now suss that, I can throw the whole #5gpx with ease.

I've never played with the opti stream before, but I do own an opti coast. Even though chalk and cheese, if the stream is designed with as much thought as the coast then it's gonna be a really nice rod to use also.
The stream is one rod that I would like to have a play with one day. As well as a heap of their other rods, lol.

They may, but they rarely update the site so you wont know for sure until you place an order or email them.
