Yea mate,

It feels great to hold. All up cost me $582 for the lot. Checked some of the online prices and it works out $789 (rod+reel+line) online. So that leaves me about $200 left over for lures

It's OK Ruski, I'm taking something for my addiction. I'm taking my credit card to the tackle shop. You say addiction like it's a bad thing.

Very little info available online.

LOL in regards to the fly collection. Three month trip mate so I actually have a box about 2ftx 2ft x 2ft full of flies in bulk. Expecting to go through a lot and when you are on an island 2000 miles from the nearest flyshop, there is no phoning to get a few extras. Hence all the rods. The other guys on the trip are travelling with similar amounts of gear.

Anyway I will post some pics in the new thread for trip reports once I settle into the fishing. The place has wireless so I should be able to get online most nights in between fishing, watching the world cup and practising my Spanish...'Dos Tequilas per favor'.....

mate im fairly certain you will be absolutly over the moon with the vanquish, 2 guys at work have been using them on longtails and have openly said best/nicest/sexiest/coolest fly reel they have ever seen and used

Yeah I thought so, I love my powerbream, but not when it punishes my wrist having to take on 30+ salmon ranging from 1-2kg landbased :P

here is an example of what they do to my poor nitro lol

Caught over 30 for the session

yeah it was awesome, happened yesterday actually. Couldnt believe the salmon hung around for so long. Good to know that the powerbream actually has alot of power, those bream dont have a chance if it can handle 2kg salmon

Heres my addition.

Probably the niftiest bit of gear I own.
Loop multi 6wt fly rod, with Loop evotech composite lightweight reel.
Now I just have to learn to catch bream on it.............

Thanks, hopefully one day I will catch some fish on it, even if they aren't bream.
