It's not what I thought.
Harder to get hold of than I thought. More planning required

Ordered my first custom rod built by Mark Newcombe. Its a BREAM TACTIC, Matrix 4-10lb, 7', with titanium "tidalwave" microwave guides (won best in show fishing accessory, iCAST 2013)
Here are a couple of pictures. Matrix 1.jpg Matrix 2.jpg Matrix titsnium microwave guide.jpg

$310 delivered but the tidal wave guides were a free upgrade. Delivery is $30 delivered nationwide, tracked, signed etc
. I have gone for minimal bling option, just want performance and at that price I'll be getting the MHX blank in 4-8lb for hardbodies.

How do you rate the tidal wave guides?

Blooding it on Wednesday. Not too many tidal wave owners here in Aus they are obviously designed for the salt being titanium. The microwave technology allows you a more effortless cast therefore more accuracy and longer sessions.

Have a look at it in action, this is not the titanium series but from a line management perspective it is the same. The stripper guide is a size 20 taken down to a 6 (works like a funnel). The Titanium is obviously lighter and more corrosion resistant.
