The I'ze Monobloc's come on their own rod. They actually screw directly to the rod. One is 5'6" rated to (US) 14lb the other is 6" rated to 16lb. They are designed as a Top Water rod for surface fishing, hence the names TWS56 and TWS60.

The other rod is a Smith Ltd.

Waterworks Vanquish

The larger reel is a Waterworks Vanquish...http://www.waterworks-lamson.com/index2.html.....very, very light as is the Waterworks way. I will be interested to put them through their paces with the larger fish as I know what to expect from the Tibors/Abels but this will be my first time with these new puppies and I haven’t heard any feedback from anyone about them as yet. Very little info available online.

LOL in regards to the fly collection. Three month trip mate so I actually have a box about 2ftx 2ft x 2ft full of flies in bulk. Expecting to go through a lot and when you are on an island 2000 miles from the nearest flyshop, there is no phoning to get a few extras. Hence all the rods. The other guys on the trip are travelling with similar amounts of gear.

Anyway I will post some pics in the new thread for trip reports once I settle into the fishing. The place has wireless so I should be able to get online most nights in between fishing, watching the world cup and practising my Spanish...'Dos Tequilas per favor'.....

I use the little ones from the kayak and canoe chasing Bass in the river here. The 4 piece Smith is handy for travelling. I had some fun with Mangrove Jacks on it in PNG.
