A fraction lighter in the hand and very smooth. If its as tough and durable as the older model I will be stoked! Already considering buying a second.

I had two rods on the weekend rigged sp/hb etc one with the old certate & one with the new certate.
They were on different rods but to be honest Im not sure I could tell a whole lot of difference each time I switched over etc.

One thing I will tell you is since buying a medium rcs knob for my certates I really dont like using the old little pissy knobs....lol
I didnt think the knob would make much difference & only bought a couple as they were a bit cheaper than usual but Im real glad I did it.
I only had one of the rcs knobs on the weekend & each time I switched rods I would soon get pissed off & change them over... lol

There are a small change or two in the new models I noticed one that I liked was a small amount of color near the line roller which makes
it a touch easier for the line to slide into the line roller. Its hard for me to explain but its just a small section painted black with something to make it nice & smooth.

MeLikemcertait Chief..... :P

Thanks for the info Stu. Yes you have to have the EVA knobs. All mine do and you will never go back!

Is their any decent baitcasters that do? I often find it difficult to detect exactly when a fish stops/starts or at what speed line is peeling off especially in low light levels.

Z2020 and Ryoga have clickers in the drag mate, they are beasts though, you would want to be chasing some serious fish to warrant one.

Cheers mate, wasn't aware the ryoga had a clicker, does it disengage? Want something solid with a high ratio for vibing deepwater jews

I dont think it does, I dont have one so dont take that as gospel either.

Either of those reels would be the goods for what you want though, from all reports they are as close to indestructible as you will find in such a small package.
