Really considering finding a TD-Z ito and kitting it up for bream.

Do you think the TD-Z would be too much of an overkill, that I should look at something smaller like an Alphas/Pixy/Core?

Thanks.

Nice rod in you dp, much mojo?

Haha, haven't even used it yet!

Been wanting too, but got a spot in mind for it.

Hopefully I can re-christen it this weekend..

ooh lefty as well .. are u casting further than a spin combo ? 25 metres is a 1/2 olympic pool .. that's pretty darn far !

I'd say it can match or even cast further than a spin, but I'm not too sure as I haven't tested both at the same time. It's a lot more accurate than a spin though, and using a baitcaster is so much more fun.

About the "25m" figure I mentioned before... When I was testing it in my backyard, the lure landed on the roof. Assuming it would hit the ground in a real situation, the real distance would be about 30-35m.

It has fished in brackish waters on several occasions, no issues yet. A simple wash after every session and regular servicing keeps it running well.

Hi matt
I have put a couple up in the nt section. No monsters.
I'm actually a bit scared to take them out and about too much on boats.
That's not to say they haven't been put through their paces.
I tend to take other gear on boat trips, and for good reason.
I nearly lost an outfit when trolling the Adelaide. I was in my own little world, then boom. Needless to say I didn't land the fish
I'm normally too under the pump when I get a big fish on land based to take photos. I go out a lot by myself, so it gets tricky

is that the giga arbor, or large arbor?

edit: scratch that, it's not.

You should grab a G-8 spool for it, turn it into a 8 weight reel if need be.
