Purchased off e-bay from a member of the forums. Arrived so quick I jerked my neck and los al mtor ctrl . Reel came in perfect condition with box, case, standard dress-up bits, line spooled and everything working perfectly. Not bad for <$500 delivered. Also decided to use the standard exist parts on my Luvias 1003 and they fit well.
Pics to come once I find a decent camera.
Sounds Like a good buy Echo, post some pics when you can!!
Cheers Dale.

Sorry about the quality of the pics. Taken from my phone.

Just curious guys,

I've heard rumors that if the magnesium were to get chipped or scratched and salt got inside it.

That it would slowly eat it away.

I doubt it's true, but you can never be too sure.

The rumours are based around fact. When exposed to oxygen, magnesim corrodes extremely well, and even better with saltwater. This is why reels made out of Mg have specific coatings, paint etc to prevent any contact with the environment. Of course if this coating is damaged, by a deep scratch or major chip then there can be trouble if not treated immediately. With basic reel care there shouldn't be any problems though.
So yeah never taking the Exist out past where I can stand
