So, they were filming him from like 30 metres and let him float in the water unconscious for 10 minutes?!

Yeah, chine walking is to be taken very seriously and better to back off on a speed.

Shows how careful you have to be. But yeah i wouldn't worry about filming while he was unconscious.

Surely he would have seen the wake and known that he should have slowed down? Or is this some kind of freak accident?

Backing off in a chine walking boat is the WORST thing to do!
It it gets to much, trim down. That accident had nothing to do with chine walk.

He crossed a decent wake at 70+mph, that's all. What he did do right is wear a life jacket and have the lanyard hooked up which is more than what most people do on the water.
