i use to have support which had a place on trailer had to slip in a groove the support into but the supports with spring loaded end look really good and easy to use by sitting bottom of support on end roller and spring end under leg on outboard extra pre caution we used strap too hold around outboard dont use occy strap yhough they like to eat paint off ur outboard bit of rope fine

Thanks for the reply mate, its much appreciated. Good to hear what others are doing as I wasn't sure if I was doing any damage not using support on short trips... I think ill do like you said, I wont bother with the support when going the 5 minutes to my local ramp but anything longer ill throw the support on.
