Yeah make sure you remember the socks - the inside of some gumboots are like a mild sandpaper on bare ankles - you wont notice it until you're about 500m from where you started. Thats about how long it takes to wear through the outer layers of skin and start rubbing on bare flesh
So no short socks below the ankle - learnt that the hard way
