$2000 should see you O.K. for a half-way decent second hand tinny with a 10-15 Hp motor on a trailer.
Have a look at the Trading Post or similar, you soon get a 'feel' for prices, and if you give us an idea of what you want it for (where you want to fish etc.) we may be able to point you towards brands and styles to look at.
