Thanks Steve. Time to get ready Ladies and Gents. 2 very different systems, but at great times of the year for good fishing. Can't wait.

Do we know launch sites? Will make a difference where I try to get accom.

THe SA abt is now in feb, that is awesome, I will be entering as a boater for the first time, should be plenty of big bags weighed at that time of year!

Dowelly 12-11-2008 01:26 AM

so all of the classic qualifiers are on the swan?
i would personally like to see one (maybe later in the year) a bit further down the coast. just to mix it up a bit?
heading to walpole tomorow for a smacking with the new boat. Also cant wait to get into the blackwood.

Dowelly, Im only guessing but I think the idea of having them all in Perth and one or two in Mandurah is about making it easier for the greater percentage of breamers to commit to a one day event without having to spend heaps of bucks on accommodation and travel etc, and hence get a good number of entries. Also maybe it helps guys who also can't commit to a two day event or get a Saturday's off etc.

Personally I wouldnt bother coming to Perth at all if had the systems you have to fish. :D Lucky bugger.....

when do the entry forms come out and how do you renew your abt membership

Steve Morgan 12-11-2008 10:31 PM

n-fish,

Every current ABT member is mailed the 2009 Tournament Angler Guide in January. The cover sheet with the address on it is the Renewal form (don't throw it out).

Cheers,

SM

And if not??

Richo

You are pretty much on the money - and we need to increase the size of the field (number of competitors) to a consistently higher level to attract and retain sponsors and as we attract more sponsorship so we (hopefully) attract more anglers.

At this point in time holding events "down south" is just not viable - that is not to say it will never be considered - but as you point out the costs are prohibitive and I doubt we would get a sizable field.

Let's see how many enter the ABT rounds in 2009 and guage the support for southern events.

Thanks Steve,
This does say 2008, however if we fill out this one will it be 2009?
I think the answer is self explanatory but I thought that I would check?
Ta Dale.
