can anyone recommend some good dehydrated type food for use with jetboil

I went on a trek a few years ago up to hinchinbrook and took Back Country food with us. Tasted pretty good to. Very suprised how good it tasted. We tyred a few before we left.

Buy the instant pasta, or continental rices of the world etc, and catch your own protein;)

+1 for the back country too.

Also, for something different have a look at the range of flavoured cous cous available in the supermarket. Just have to pour boiling water over them, wait 5 minutes for it to absorb and eat.

Totally agree! Many bush walking trips in SW Tasy with a base of salami, pasta, cheese and tomato soup powder and then combinations of rice, fish, dried Asian dishes and crayfish (almost, long story!), Deb, dried peas, pumpernikell etc killed packet dehy!

Get a food dehydrator and knock up some spaghetti bolognaise - hit up YouTube for instructions, plenty of prepper / hiking / trail vids that go into detail.

Good bits of kit the jetboils but I find they have little adjustment to the valve - I'm going to get their new Minimo which solves the problem.

the little adjustment didn't really bother me as I only wanted it to boil water.
