gday
my mate and i are thinking about investing in a two man kayak for fishing. i was wondering how stable these are as i dont really want to be going for regular swims in the maribyrnong with my gear. would a canoe be better for bream fishing as i think i might be able to get one of these cheap
thanks guys

mate go a yak over a canoe unless u can get a leccy for the canoe,if possible get 2 single person kayaks, as they are easier to fish out of and have more storage.

For two people a canoe would be better as you have room to store gear and might be more roomy. I started with a yak and dont regret it just wish there was more room on it.

cheers
wouldnt mind getting two singles yaks but from what ive seen would work out abit pricey, but if we get a two man we can split the cost so it would work out cheaper, what about stability do you guys know how stable canoes are compared to kayaks. we want to get the most stable possible. sorry about all the questions but which would be keep us dryer a sit on or sit in kayak, we would probably be getting in and out a fair bit so which is easier and dryer to get on and off with out tipping our gear/ ourselves in the river. thanks guys

sitin is dryer&warmer, but if ur getting in and out regularly, the siton is better, also because if u tip the sitin u have swim it all the way to the bank, but with the sitin they have scupper holes and u can get straight back on,hth.

well not really mate, they are good in creeks and stuf but once u take breamin into big rivers and esturine lakes canoes really lose out, jmo.
