bream spinning with telescopic rod

i am thinking about buying a telescopic rod so i can go spinning with HBs and SPs for bream during my spare periods at school( school only around 600m from maribyrnong) are telescopic rods suitable for bream fishing. if they are it would be great, more fishing:D but i have my doubts from looking at them. i have seen a 5'6 shimano that looks ok but if anyone has any recomendations i will check them out before i buy ,although i have a limited budget ( im 16 with no job)

id stay away from teliscopic rods and go for a multi piece rod instead, teliscopic rod dont really function all that well due to the way that they are constructed. they tend to break very easily and you will find that sections will stick together and you will have great difficulty pushing them back together. the guides are ususally cheap and nasty aswell. Im not too sure how much your budget is but i think daiwa do a heartland travel rod for around 150ish.

go a nice little 6foot 3 pices pen rod there about 80 bucks. they look real nices for that stuff. you can get one at rod bendings world of fishing and beach stuff venus bay.

In my opinion the telescopic rods are of a low to very low quality. I would definately steer away from them! Surely a smallish(5ft6) 2 piece rod is not to much hassle to carry around, its no bigger than a hockey stick or tennis raquet that most other students have to carry around. Make a small rod tube out of PVC tube with screw on end caps and wrap your rod in a cloth bag and this should cope with any abuse. Enjoy fishing with a decent rod and good luck!:D

i see what you mean about the telescopics i had a look at a shakespeare one today and it felt cheap. i think that idea might wait until the next fishing show where i might be able to pick up a 4 or 6 piece rod of decent quality cheap.
