now way will it last long!

Unless you use a really longe, really heavy leader.

mate, fireline is atleast 80% abrasion resistant if not, more.

u can feel the difference it make's to mono cos u can just pull fish straight out of tight cover (with a heavier leader ofcourse).

u gotta be kidding, fireline has hardly any abrasion resistance, thats why there is need for strong abrasion resistance flurocarbon leaders.

yeah im with greg
fireline has crap resistance
up north if it just slightly touches the coral your gone.

Tis true, nick fireline and it'll just fray apart. Not good when you're fishing up North near reef or what not. Not good when you hook a fish with decent teeth either if you're running fireline straight to your lure, which some people do for some unknown reason. the fact that it doesn't stretch doesn't help matters either, the line can't 'slide' across structure, it just parts.

Nothing is good on reef/ apart from wire, but who uses that apart for shark traces.

Yeh your wrong, they use them because baracuta and spanish mackrel have sharp teach not that fact they will get busted on the reef

fireline vs reef.....

No chance in hell...........

Supposedly, braid handles abrasion slightly better than Fireline. Non of these "superlines" have the abrasion resistance that mono, fluro or wire (if you're into sharks) has to offer.
