after what happened to mr warne we needed something to put our minds back on the cricket and didnt symons deliver it in spades

And a nice guy, too. I've met him a few times at work functions.

I think you'll see Shane Warne back over there next week. A little bird tells me he'll be cleared pretty quickly of any wrong doing, and re-instated. :)

What a great game.

The Pakistanis put up a bit of fight late, but the Aussies played well.

Lee is FIRING, one no-ball went down at 158.1km/hr. Bugger me, I'm glad it's them not me.

GO AUSSIES.

It was a great knock from Symonds, finally showing Australia what us Qlders already knew, he is a match winner. This could be the start of something big in Australian cricket.
As with Mr Warne, a few questions.
His mum gives him a diahorretic for fluid, while we have been told for years to rehydrate.
He or no one else in Australian Cricket knew that this was a banned substance? Please, there is a 24hr hotline these guys can ring to check before they take any sort of medication. The drug found in his body flushes away urine (and traces of steroids) from the kidneys. And he returned at least two weeks before any medical expert thought it possible  Hmmmm?

Well leads me to believe two things

1/ The ACB will cover up any mess it believes will bring its golden image into disrepute. AND

2/ You can't respect spinners. The top 2 ever in the world are contreversial. One is a chucker, the other a possible drug cheat! :(

Lets hope the ACB doesnt sweep this incident under the carpet as well!

hey beefman

I sont know if your at a top level sport your mum would be slipping drugs to you? I would of thoght these guys would of been traine to what things are banned and to go throught the team doc if in doubt.

I dont think warnes is a drug cheat but its a bit strange incident?

Hopefully there is a finding not a whitewash

Cheers
Stuie

PS Anyone who is good at there sport is named a cheat by others at one stage or another. Have a look at the torpedo the germans called him a drug cheat naming his feat where too large. Some people a bad loosers

Exactly my point, these guys get all the advice in the world over what they can and cant take. They have docs, pharmacists, numbers to call and ask what is in each medication. No need to plead ignorant!
The ACB will plead that Warne didn't know it was illegal, point is Warne never even tried to find out if it contained a banned substance! And what was he taking a dehydrating drug for?
It doesnt look good, I just hope we get the truth from the ACB this time!

Gday beefman

cant bowl and cant bat and cant do a couple of thing actually. No i dont work for ACB or any cricket type of organisations. I am the world series leader in backyard cricket in my backyard anyway, my son is a push over.

did you hear the bit of commentary that Symonds is a bit of a fish nut? also he like to go shooting (animals, not beam bowlers) with Hayden.

Cheers

Hayden, Symonds and Bichel are all fishing nuts
During preseason last year, they were out in Symonds' boat and it sunk, resulting in Haydos and Symmo swimming back to shore. Now thats good training!
Bichel just had a boat made for him at Bribie somewhere, a nice looking outfit painted in Bulls colors of course! :D

I remember seeing some footage when Bichel was 12th man of him tying flies on the bench near the boundary.

That's keen.

Hey guys.
Did you hear that Latif got away with calling Gillie a WHite C&*T but Lehman got 5 match suspension for a similar comment!!!
It was the same damn referee, but no suspension for Latif (i think thats his name).
I hate racism, especially on the sporting field, but doesn't this seem like one way traffic?
Also, Symmonds knock was awesome. Did you see the two drives through covers which got him going. Both were great shots!:D
Apparantly, when the boat sank with Symmonds and Haydon, they were at Kingfisher Bay (correct the name if its wrong, its always on Rex Hunt) and they had to swim over a KM to get to shore!

in regards to the latif situation, it seems its ok to vilify the aussies but not the other way around :( :( :(

now latif wants to sue gilly for defamation of character....its a joke.

whatever happened to "what happens on the field stays on the field"???
