FIRELINE
I have had excellent results on Vanish but it's a mongrel to cast - twists and loops  .

A lot of people don't like it as a leader but I like it and have it in 2lb 6lb 8lb & 10lb.
I would not use it as a mainline but for leader material its great.
I also use Siglon for leader aswell.

siglon flourocarbon is IMO the best ive used as a leader. it ties knots well and isnt too stiff. mind you ive never tried vanish.
I think Chris was talking about using Vanish as his main line, weren't you  .
There is two types, Main line Vanish and Leader Vanish.........

Jim,
You can buy "Vanish Leader" in 50m spools but it costs the same as the normal main line 250yd spools

I went to Big W and grabbed a 125 yard spool of 4lb 'Smoke' Fireline it was $19.65 which is cheaper then most places but i think that sale is over as they had to check that price on the shelf and they had left the old price tags on, by anyhow i got it for the shelf price. I can't believe how thin the 4lb is, will be awesome to cast. Thanks for your help guys. (BTW: going soft plastics fishing on friday)
Cheers
