What guides do they have
it would be good if they had titanium SiC on them
even better if they had gold cement !?
Daniel the bream buster will set you back $450.
Heaney mentioned the new finesse which is a 7 foot rod and is designed for plastics,it is amazing how a little extra length really helps your fishing.....
Rayman they come with the ultra light alconites which l am understanding they are better than silicones in performance and weight,of course gold cermets are the greatest guide to put on a rod but the extra $350 is a hard add on for any fisherman....
These rods can be read about at from Ian's web site
at www.millerods.com . Becuase with no dealer in WA it will be hard to get a look....
We are lucky over here ....

G'day Daniel,
A bit closer to home, you may want to try Otto's Fishy Business at Drummoyne, Sydney! Go in a speak to the guys there, they are very helpful and usually have a good selection of Miller Rods (except for when demand oversees supply:D). Well worth the money, considering you are buying on of the best rods on the market!
Hi Richo, I have spoken to the agent here in WA for the Breamreapers and they are $349. If we can get an order of 5 together he will discount them to $319.
Drop me a line if you're interested.

Ian Miller lives near me and his new work shop is right next door to where my wife does her shopping and they are beautiful rods and he ships Australia wide and International orders so getting one to your door won't be a prob but handling one before purchase might be.
l agree the bream reaper is a good looking and feeling rod.
l dont really know how your fishing methods in WA but on the Gold Coast throwing 1\16 th oz jig heads is the key to catching good bream not all the time but l would say 80 percent of the time.
And feeling the bream reaper and hearing from matt fraser throwing 1\16th jig heads isnt an option with this rod it is suited to 1\8th and up jig heads,Matt may clarify this but if throwing small heads is the way you guys have to fish then this rod isnt the one that will suit.......

What you can do is cast without the lure right up at the tip
leave 30cm or(more/less) or so of line
it might be a little bit harder to aim
but casts perfect
/or
the bow and arrow cast

I was looking to be using it mainly as a hard body rod.... the reports were good for that purpose weren`t they??..
richo

G'day Guys,
Just to clarify points on the Black Diamond Bream Reaper, it is a superb rod for little hardbodies and for jigheads from 1/8th up to 1/2 ounce. As Travis mentioned it isn't quite suited casting or finessing 1/16th jigs.
The Bluestone Bream is the best 1/16 ounce jig rod in the Black Diamond Range at present. A very nice rod for $295 but not quite up to the standard of Ian Miller's Bream Buster or the Loomis S842 if you want to pay the big bucks.
Cindy & Steve are currently investagating building up the Bream Reaper's little brother to do the job on the little jigs.
Matt
PS. The Bream Reaper has alconites, and for the east coasters is a very versatile tournament rod as it doubles very nicely as an excellent Bass soft Plastics rod. Caught heaps of fish at The Stessl Somerset comp on the w/e but not the biguns to get into the top ten.

Thanks guys...
I really want a rod with power and that can chuck a hard body around nicely, and stop any suckers stitching me up. We hopefully will be having a look at one of these within a week or so. Can`t wait, although Im concerned i`ll be running for the Credit Card when I see it.
The BreamReaper sounds like it`ll fit in nicely at my house....

Hi from Cindy & Steve Ross (Black Diamond Tailored Rods).
We were just passing through and saw the thread. Thanks for the positive comments on our product. One thing we would like to say with regards to bow and arrow casting: we do not encourage, approve or endorse the use of this technique on our rods. It puts excessive loads on to the tip section of the rod and is the same effect as high sticking the rod.
Whilst we agree that bow and arrow are a useful tool in some conditions, we feel the pitching technique is a more "rod friendly" method of short range casting, especially on the Bream Reaper 2-4kg which is a fast actioned rod.
Regards,
Cindy & Steve Ross

Thanks Cindy,
Always great to have input from the actual manufacturers and users (Matt). Keep up the great work.... and Im yet to see bow n arrow casting in our comps - so your safe so far, but nice warning and I definitly won`t be trying that when I get one.
cheers

Hi Richo,
Thanks for your kind words. Glad, too, we could offer some help.
For others who may be wondering about the price of the Bream Reaper: it does have a RRP of $385 but shops may sell the rod at a different price. So it is always best to check with your retailer.
Cheers,
Cindy
