Caught a whiting today on a Smilin Jacks raw prawn and for the first time for me a silver biddy, I watched it follow the lure for about 5' before it hit it :)

A couple of weeks ago I caught several Silver Biddies on a crawfish lure for the first time, have fished the spot hundreds of times with the same lure, and the Biddies have always been there, but boy were they agressive that day!

A Silver Biddie is a small deep bodied herring type fish.

In "Sea fishes of southern Australia" by Barry Hutchins there also known as Roach, Silver Belly and Silver Biddy.

When you touch them there scales literally fall off.
