As alot of you saw from Ira's post Envirojigs are now avaliable at Breammaster.
With the freight train success of the WA Bream series and Bream fishing in general, I thought it was time to create a jig that was both different in shape as well as been environmentally friendly.
By that I mean they contain no lead what so ever!
I dont know about you, but I feel our precious rivers have enough polutants in them without adding lead to the toxic mess!

All Envirojigs come in sizes 1/32, 1/16, 1/8 and 1/4. I use Mustad Ultrapoint chemically sharpened hooks from sizes 1-4.

There are a few people I would like to thank that have helped me launch what I feel is a great product.

My testers, Bear, Mad Phil and Sewelly.

Kurt Blanksby, Ira Fellberg and Craig Campbell for the "stress test" and the publicity.

Over the next week or so the website www.envirojigs.com will be updated.
In the mean time just into Breammaster and pickup a pack!

Whats the damage to the hip pocket?

And does BM have enough in stock?

They are always out of stock of the jigs I want.

Great idea. There are certain waterways in the USA where you are not allowed to use lead.

Have you got a piccy for all of us that haven't seen them

they are pretty good jigs,
ive been using some for the past 2 months or so, and i have found that they are very sharp and strong compared to some other jigs that i have

Here is a pic from the weekend with a WA South Coast bream and a Envirojig in his gob, I'm sure Bubba will have some better pics to post but you will get an idea of the head shape.

Cheers

Craig

Pics with fish are few and far between at the moment :( Im awaiting my field testers to send me some /nudge Ira and Kurt but the site will have pics of the jigs on the weekend.
The heads are a minnow style head head.
Thanks for that Pic Craig..

And to the guys that have already bought them, thanks for the support and kind words.

I am always looking for feedback and even testimonials (if you dont mind them on the site) so if you would like to provide some just email feedback@envirojigs.com
Also Pics of them catching fish. There is some exciting news coming on that front soon!

Also a few regular buyers have requested larger packs. Somewhere in the range of 15-20 jigs. If there is enough suppoprt for these I might start doing it. Again send me a feedback email and I will see what the demand is like

Bubba,

What's the materials? Steel? Tungsten?

Trav

None of the above Trav. At this stage Im not going into it to much as it took me a while to get the alloy right :) It is however quite abit more expensive than lead :(

The 1/32 and 1/16 look very similar. The profile is a little higher but much wider on the 1/16ths

Well as I have no artistic flair whatso ever, I have knocked up a very quick page with atleast a photo of the jigs so you can get an idea. When my better half finds a little more time in the day we will update the page again, but atleast now you can see the jigs

Having read in an earlier post the high number of jigs that lure fishers are losing I think this is a timely innovation, particularly with the anti fishing lobby snapping at our heels.

I've been looking without luck for a substitute for leaded jigs in the Brisbane area for some time so will certainly place an order for EnviroJigs once they are in the on-line store.

Well done Bubba,

Regards,

Bluey.

They won't be far away Bluey, but if you would like some in the mean time, please don't hesitate to call Craig on 08 9271 0555. These are a great idea and with input from all of us will only get better.

Thanks for the phone number Bear,

I rang Craig today and ordered one pack of every size EnviroJig in stock plus a couple of packs of GULP biodegradeable "soft plastics".

Now all I need is for someone to invent "biodegradeable fishing line" and my fishing will be almost totally "environmentally friendly".

Regards,

Bluey

Can I just say, how good are these jigs.

Went out last night for a fish along the marina walls at Ascot Waters, fishing 1-2 metres out from the walls. Anyone who has fished there would know how rocky that is. With the wind blowing a gale and the rocks, I found the Envirojigs able to handle the rocks alot better. Jumping the rocks compared to other jigs I use that would just get wedged and generally find the hook would bend while extracting my jig.

I must say, first field try for my self and big thrumbs up. Didnt loose 1 jig to the rocks. Hooks where very sharp, to the point where the little bream got hooked through parts I thought to tough for hooks.

Only downside I found is when the bream got picky they would hit the jig and SP just behind the jig head. I would assume this is due to the shiney head. But not enough of a downside to complain about the performance.

2 thumbs up.
