I was talking to Dave W this afternoon. Apparently the whole place just shut down. Bushy didn't catch a fish, and the fish that were caught weren't all that big.

Still, we better not joke too much. I remember a Canning comp last year that was a bit of a joke

Pete,
I'd rather keep Wapole to ourselves. Then we can rub it in each year :D

Smallest fish.....

Here's a pic of a legally caught Bream from the comp.

There were literally thousand of them all over the place, and they would follow anything that moved.

I've put a circle around it in case you miss it:D

More comp. info up soon - I'm pretty knackered from driving for 11 hours (my trailer broke on the way home but that's another story...)

When is someone going to invent the stainless steel, maglev (no wheels/tyres/bearings/springs/brakes/etc) boat trailer with solid state, wireless lighting system?

On a different note, why did some of the winners gets $$$'s and others got prize packs? Did they get a choice?

Kevin, I dont know the guys involved but does it look as though it was only non-boaters who got prize packs? I think the rule change is that only boaters compete as "professionals" for cash.

Craig's right Kev - the top ten boaters received cash and the top ten non-boaters received prizes, irrelevent of their overall position.

The good thing with this one was that the prizes that weren't won (not enough non-boaters caught fish:rolleyes: ) were 'lucky dipped' between all the guys who didn't place anywhere - very good of them as they didn't have to give them away.
