i noticed while looking at starlo and bushy's book, that some of their floating/diving plugs have another hole drilled into the bib and a clip attached.
kind of like when bushy modifies his scorpions before they made sneakies.
does anyone know why they did it?? im guessing its to quicken up the rising rate

I'll have a guess - would it change the retrieve depth, and how the lure sits in the water??
Theoretically, the lighter you make the front of the lure, the lower the rear trebles sit - is that a good thing??

There's no silly questions mate - only dodgy answers:rolleyes: :D
Seriously though - someones silly question could be someone else's 'fact of the day', just check out the amount of posts on the Bream spinning basics.
I sometimes forget that not everyone has been doing this style of fishing for a while - I was a newby at one stage, and was happily fishing 14lb Smoke Fireline straight to the lure before I was shown the error of my ways (I didn't hook many fish, but I sure as hell didn't loose many either:D )

Do u mean drilling a hole in the bib
I know a guy who does that!?
he says it gives the lure a rolling action!?
I wouldn't bother
That come good as they are in the packet!

the connecting hardware is removed and another hole drilled through the bib. a clip like this 1 is attached.

Ohh, gotcha
It's just the difference between the two towing points
Don't know which way round
it is
The [further] forwards (away from the lure) the towing point, the wider the action
The [closer] the towing point, the opposite!?
I think that's it
