Hi i_wanna_fish
The best place to start with flies would be the Meldrum clouser. As for lines, in shallowish water or when fishing snags I use a Rio clouser line (floating) and when fishing bridge pylons etc I use an intermediate line. If you plan to fish bridges etc just be sure to give your fly plenty of time to reach the strike zone. Depending on depth of water I generally count out anywhere up to 30sec to make sure the fly's in the zone. As for stripping the fly slow and erratic.
Good fishing
