Main Battery Switch - what is "Field"?

Hi

I bought one of those huge circular switches for managing two batteries - a - b - both - off

The wiring for the batteries looks OK but this model has two extra - but much smaller connection points labelled "FIELD"

What are these for and how do I wire them?

All clues welcomed!
