Van Staal Reel

Has anyone ever see one of the reel called "Van Staal" any good
Can we get it from Aus and how much???

Van Staal reel is very expensive and generally used for Game Fishing. You probably be paying over $1K. Haven't seen it in Australia though. Last time I saw it was over in the states.

I believe the original Van Staal company was bought out recently (last 12 months?) though the new owners (big company, name escapes me) are keeping them up to spec (supposedly). http://www.vanstaal.com/

Yes, they're incredible reels. Van Staal was originally involved in the aerospace industry providing a range of precision engineering services. When the aerospace industry contracted some years ago Van Staal decided to diversify and building the world's toughest spinning reel was one of their projects. I wasn't aware of the change in ownership, I hope they maintain their high standard.
