Do bream take tails off the sp's when they miss or not hook up? A few times yesterday I felt some hits, but when examining the sp there didnt seem to be a mark on it. I know snags and bumps could feel like hits on the retrieve, but on a couple of occations when I wasnt moving the lure I still felt the bite.

Bream can nip tails off SP's but there is a host of other things that do as well like toads, tailor, leatherjackets etc

Torvic,
They sure do, as well as Toads, spikey Flatties, Trumpeter, Leatherjackets, Tailor etc etc.
I have heaps of SP's that have no tail.
I have mentioned before that I wish someone would market bags of just tails for running repairs on SP's.
