I was wondering what you guys think of a price vs performance comparison of different rods.I am looking at getting another rod but the funds are limited (read-missus,baby) and was interested in a few but you dont know until you have field tested them.

I'm using a couple of Daiwa IM6 Heartland rods ($149) which I am very happy with at present. I have also found some great little Penn IM6 rods with Fuji guides which we will have in the online store over the weekend. At $149 they are also a great little rod.

Hey Warren,have you tested out the penn rods yet?I know that the penn name has a lot of history but I would like your input.Also some specs would clinch the deal.

Guys,
If you're looking at getting something more personal in feel and performance, why not get a custom. Ira had one done not long ago and I'll be doing the same in the not too distant future. Nothing more personal than having it fitted to YOU.

Custom=Cost!!!:D
I'd love one, but they are not cheap.
Check out shakesperes range. the Pflueger is a gem of a rod! costs 150, but i bargained him down to 135.
Have a look mate.

kingpin that is not necessarily true

im pretty sure that ira's custom cost him a tad under $200- not that much more than your $150 rod.

it all depends on what guides etc you want on your rod!
