Hi Blowfish

you can chuck around HB's on the flats west or east of JoJos although the western side does seem more productive as there is some rock/reefy type structure. I always seem to pull a fish hanging around the western side of the walkway to the restaurant service entrance. The main jetty will probably deliver only your namesake and hell they'll get stuck into your softies if your chucking them around. If you are land based then consider fishing the shoreline between Pelican point and Matilda Bay as there are the little jetties and Yacht clubs to have a chuck around. If your boating then beware of the rocks and shallow ground west of JoJos. Props have been mangled in that territory.
My best ever Bream came from JoJos so good luck.

Hi Guys

here is the thread link fom just over 12 months ago that reveals all about various Big Bream caught amongst our colleagues

http://www.breammaster.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=34

Personally I have caught many fish between 1.5 and 2 kilo up to 49cm but am yet to beat the one above, it went 48cm and 2.65kg, Gary shugg took the photo for me. Maybe one day  I live in hope and keep pluggin' away

Way way back in the seventies  I use to swear by 8lb Royal Bonnyl or something like that. It was a brown coloured mono that gave me good stealth in catching the elusive breamskis but alas it let me down under the strain of 5-6lb monsters on many occasions. It was strong but ultra thin on diameter and couldn't cope with abrasion from barnacles and rocks. Fish like the one above were quite common in the Port River and Onkaparinga River (South Aust) back then.
