What would be a better reels choice for plastics. av15 or a av20.
I have heard that the only difference is the size of the spool and the actual body is the same size. If this is true then the av20 would be only slighly heavier than the av15.

Hey Ben,
Ok the 15 is smaller than the 20, the twenty does feel heavier to me its body is slightly larger and the rotor is bigger to cater for the larger spool.
They both have the same gear ratio, i guess the main differance is line capacity, the 20 holds 5 yards more of 4lb than the 15.
I can't say i have ever used one but i would have to say Avengers pretty much are the reel of choice to most new Anglers.
I reckon we definately need some input from people who have used them both.
They are both the same price $69.95 I reckon the 20 looks a little more spoofy with its chromed Alloy Handle

Hi Ben,
I went for the AV15 after feeling both reels on the 6'6" squidgee spin. I feel that its well balanced while the AV20 is a bit heavy. Note that it just holds 125 yds of 4 lb fire line, so you wont need much backing. So far i haven't found this outfit wanting.
Good luck
