I have talked about making a copy of an environet on the forums before and got some absolutely fabulous advice along with photos of nets that people had made, but after costing the materials that where needed they ended up getting close to the cost of an original.

As some of you will be aware I bit the bullet and bought one from Mc Callums Tackle in Nowra and I haven't looked back, it is an extremely good landing net.

I thought when I first saw it that it was large, unwieldy and would spook fish, but it has been the opposite.

I have read that others find it hard to push through the water but again I haven't found that as I always swim my fish into a landing net.

For catch and release the environet cannot be overstated as one of the best tools that you will ever own.

Which one did you go for Jim? The full mesh or the part mesh/rubber one?

G'Day Dave,

The one that I bought was the part mesh bottom and full skirted sides.

Cost me $80 bucks (thats drop dead expensive in my books) but if I dropped it overboard (that just sent a shudder down my spine) I would buy one again tommorrow, there that GOOD .

I guess it's time to invest then....

Anyone out there know of a place on the east coast that sells them at a decent price??

Being a tackle slut, I know I saw one for $60 but I'm stuffed if I can remember which shop:confused:

Any help appreciated:D
