I've already posted this in the bass masters thread as I caught it bass fishing but what the hell everyone doesn't read the bass threads and come to think of it everyone won't read the freshie threads but bugger it. Yesterday I caught this MRC on fly chasing bass on the surface. I was using a self tied foam popper with rubber legs on the TFO BVK #8 weight and measured against the rod it went 65-67 cm. I was stoked. Pat

Yeah it buried me straight away then whilst trying to back paddle out with the right hand, left holding the rod I gave it some slack not on purpose and it swam out straight under the front of the yak. Stripping line in furiously he finally woke up when the pressure was on bending the 9 foot rod to the butt and around the hull of the yak where I was for a moment seeing a broken rod happening. Luckily he dove to the bottom more than back to the snag so I just kept a tight line until I wore him out and lip gripped him. I tried to take a photo while the rod was bent over but gave up cause the left hand wasn't managing to keep the line clamped to the cork so gave up thinking I better land it first. I caught a bass about 10 min. later and that was like landing a minnow in comparison.:D Pat.
