To tell the truth I'd have travelled the 1300km just for these three hook ups and subsequent failures, as it just does'nt get any better than sight casting to a fwy of morris minors:D:D:D Imagine how excited l will be if l actually land one:eek::DTime will tell. Looks like more gear it destined for next trip.:cool:Caught a few jeeps just cant stop the tanks yet.:D
Hope to find a couple today see what happens.Hell windy at times so sessions are short lived.Blowvember living up to its name:mad::eek::DMake the best of what we get we do l guess.
Cheers Steve..:)

The GoPro cameras are pretty cool heard they will be releasing a new one around christmas supposed to be a heap better than the current model   Hopefully that will bring the old ones down in price can't wait to get one ;).

Yeah mate the gear l was using is my spangled emporer setup not quite what was needed but had to have a crack regardless.:D
Didnt really expect to stumble across them given the area.Amazing what one big bombie will attract especially when holding a bunch of quivering garfish all thinking "if l just close my eyes they may go away":D:D:D

Swap 20lb stick with new Shimano Terez 40lb-80lb stick, upgrade Stella 5000SW from 30lb to 50lb braid,up leader from 40lb to 80lb fluro, upgrade hook size(single and a double) on popper, use bigger popper and you have yourself a recipe to deal some hurt back to your opponent...game on Brutus:D:D
With the new and adjusted gear in tow I went out searching for my desired cliental.Seem's they were'nt willing to leave their larder of garfish so it was back to the newly marked hot spot:cool:The sight casting begun with almost instant success.
The new rod cast a country mile so l could sit off the bunch and pic the time and place with a few bombies around that could hurt even the strongest leader so I waited so as to increase my chances of steering them clear of structure.
As you can see was a nice prize for my endevours...had always wanted to land a nice GT and so have crossed it off the bucket list:cool:...:eek:oh of course l now want a bigger one now but does'nt every sport fisherman;).Easily one of my best fishing moments.Hope the wait was worth it.
Cheers Steve.:)

Bundegi south;)
No comparison between the two...Brutus beefcake wins hands down...all relative to the gear you use, although one has the power to hurt your back.:D
Did you check your phone while hooked up lol ?
That is my Minn Kota control on my shirt handy when trying to turn a fish in the desired direction

Was lucky enough to spot them the day before smashing gar's mate and the water displacement was'nt very sutble:eek::D l just zoned in on the mini subs as they breached and dove for the depth's.

Cant really tell you mate the one l bought is rated to 80lb so a bit like chalk and cheese to compare. It however did'nt break a sweat unlike myself.Had complete confidence in it and shoots a mad popper a long ways...for $285 money well spent.
I did play with the smaller models in the shop think they would make a nice addition to your stable mate.Felt nice in the hand but didnt try with any reels.
Great Catch Steve
Cheers mate, just need to find that meter queenie now, found some smaller models just not the big girls...still time.
Absolutely awesome Steve, great fish. Persistence pays off. Where is that insanely jealous emoticon.

Lets just say not much fishing is being done:mad::( and leave it at that.
Worth the grief though.:eek::D
Andrea is happy though as I'm spending time doing the family things.:)
Being a busted ass and big fish no longer agree it seems...throw in a tin ass boat and the combination only ends in tears.:D
Cheers Steve.:)
