I thought id throw it out there I have a set of LIGHTFORCE XGT 240 spotties, previously I have seen these spotties converted on a friends spots and they look amazing 6000k globes with external ballast mounted under the bonnet my friend cant remember as he did it 4 years ago before Lightforce did Zenons , however light force now do them at a ridiculous price, so my question is ,"does anyone know WHO DOES ZENON HID UPGRADE KITS ESPECIALLY FOR LIGHTFORCE XGT 240's nowadays" cheers any help would be great:)

i have the 220xp roo lights that i hid'ed, they have exsternal ballasts that sit neatly below them on the sports bar, kits are about $60-80 on ebay for 2ballasts and 2 globes, thats is your happy to have them external, they do have enough cable length the get them out of site if mounted on the bullbar.

you may also have some luck finding an ebay kit with small or "slim" ballasts, and because the xgts have the room for them in the back they should fit. Id sudgest by online and go on a 4x4forum and find out the best globe (h1.h2 ect) to fit in them. Look into temps and watts as these will make or break your setup.

look into the ebay kits, ive had mine for 18months and they havent faulted, alot cheaper than the prices from 4x4 shops by hundreds of dollars. Roumer has it they have started making hid globes that have a mini ballast built in so heaps more compact and simple install.

Yeah, hold your horses. Might be a bit old news now as this post was a month ago or so but as well as being on this forum I'm also a long long term member of patrol4x4.com & there is a guy there who runs the forum & is a vendor of lighting stuff. I have bought a lot from him over the past three years & the quality is great & the postage & service is better! Go to this link:

http://www.patrol4x4.com/forum/thumpainc-lighting-solutions-48/

There you will find HID conversion kits, LED strip lighting, LED lightbars, internal LED lights (for your 4x4), LED torches, HID conversion kits for spot lights & everything else HID & LED! His prices are VERY good & way cheaper than normal + he is a trusted source (not a Chinese exporter of dubious quality!). No I'm NOT related to him or his site or products! Just telling you go see Matt @ Thumpanic & tell him Wario sent you.

For Lightforce XGT 240's (of which I have a pair on my Patrol) he does internally ballasted HID conversions. But if you really want to have the giz factor then this is the setup you should have:

22" LED lightbar up top + the Lightforce XGT 240's (with HID 75w's) + 55w 4300 temp HID conversions to the headlights! Instant & total daylight for 1.2 kms! Don't leave you highbeam on in front of me or you'll be blind! For a week!

a landcruiser might run you over if you blind them

Bring it on then "Landcruiser bloke!" Hahaaaaaa! I pulled one out with my winch a few weeks ago at Palm Creek on the Old Telegraph Track! It was the MOST satisfying feeling ever. The guy driving it (who got saved) actually bought me a few beers! That was nice!

+ 55w 4300 temp HID conversions to the headlights!

You know this is illegal and makes you a driving hazzard at night, due to the reflector lens you have. I guess you can disreguard this if you have adjusted them, however most blokes have no idea on that, thinking the new light output is fantastic...for them. Happens to be woeful for oncomming drivers even in low bean!

jaycar also do hid conversion kits as well from $200 spotlight or high/low beam.
But kit has a warning on them, suited for off road only.
