DogTooth flys I can find 'em but I can't buy them!!
Anyone know of anywhere else other than flyworld (I'll try them again tomorrow (3rd time lucky, (I've put in two orders!!, one online, one on the phone!!)).
Where I can get them?
I've been searching for info on them on the net but can't find out anything.
Where do they come from?
Who makes them?
Looking for contact #'s.
Cheers

Bierdo, Flyworld is the only place I've seen them in WA. When you say you've ordered twice, do you mean that you've ordered and not recieved any product?? Chris is normally pretty good with getting orders out.
If you are having problems though I'd try Scotto at alpine angler. He should have them, he has a huge range of fly stuff. Scotto is a very switched on fisherman and business operator, and he also does mail order. They have flies online at http://www.alpineangler.com.au/shop/index.html, or you can just give him a call on 02-6452-5538. They also have an annual catalogue (you have to buy it though) which is very drool worthy :D

Thanks Jimi,
Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to bag Chris, it's just that I lodged an order online, with no reply.
So then I rang and put an order in over the phone, (two weeks ago) he said the online ordering was playing up.
My card still hasn't been debited and no order has arrived.
Must be some sort of mixup, I'll try ringing him again, but in the meantime I might try the NSW connection you gave me.
Thank you very much.

No worries Beirdo. I think that Chris's online ordering system is fairly old fashioned, so there may be some problems there. The only time I've had delays is if he hasn't got the stock in at the time. Then it can take a long time to get the flies.
Yep, it's probably worth calling for progress checks if you still want to order through him. I've found alpine angler to be more efficient with progress updates and such.
Chris's range of flies is still hard to beat though. However Alpine also has a huge range of other flyfishing stuff (rods, tackle, reels) that flyworld doesn't.

A few more fly sites you guys might be interested in
Bierdo, if you are looking for some more australian fly fishing shops to try, check out this list on the flylife site as well.
Flylife magazine itself is a great read if you are into fly fishing. Always some articles on interesting places to whet your appetite (just gotta look past all those bloody trout articles :D ).

If your talking about the Dogtooth Jelly Belly flies that Adam Royter used with some success on the Breamin' videos (they can also fished as lures like any ordinary soft plastic)...I've bought them from the Compleat Angler.
Alternatively, I'm sure they wouldn't be difficult to tie - "a lure constructed of some lead eyes bound near the eye of a hook and covered with Crystal Chenille and finished off with a soft plastic tail" (from fishingmonthly site)....you could try your own colour combinations.
