Has any one seen any tubebait available in oz? I'm after 2.5 to 3 inch models in natural colours.
I've had a fair bit of success mucking around with Pad Tues and want to try some other types. I have one 3 inch one that I got out of an assorted plastics kit, which I recoloured and caught fish on but its getting a bit ragged.

Hi Panger,
Ecogear has introduce Tube into Australia last couple of weeks too! They are about 2.5' as well. We have done a bit of test and they work well on bream just like Pad tue.
Here is the photo
ive got a couple of packets of the Ecogear tubes. Unfortunately I havent had a chance to test them due to uni commitments.
They look real sexy though. Some guys in melbourne use them and are quite successful, so get out there and try some!:D

They sound great. Can't wait to get a hold on some. I think they'll come in handy in summer when the blowies are about. The hollow body and the masses of tentacles should make it much harder for them to ruin.

i'm heading down to East Gippsland next weekend and was going to give the pad tues a try for the first time. I was just wonderring, do you rig them with the jig inside them? I assume you cut the claw bit off to make it look a bit more like a prawn?

Hi shoey,
You only have to thread jighead from the other side and cut a little for the eye of jighead tie on the leader.
You don't really have to cut the tail, just cast out. Let it sink. do a sharp jerk every 3-5 sec. And let it drop to the bottom again.
Bream will hit it hard if they are there :)
Pad Tue works very well for me in this kinf of technique.
happy fishing

I have gotten some Kalin's tube baits from softplastics/com/au , they have a good range and also the tube jigheads are good quality that can be purchased off their site(gamakatsu). Got a decent range of colours but a few more wouldn't hurt,
cheers,
Aaron
